Food for thought.
ReplyDeleteThere are problems with your slanted, ethnically biased account. First, 3.1 million is a figment of your imagination. Provide some proof to show where you got the figures from. Second, your notion that only Igbo people died during the crisis of 1966-70 is a shameless attempt at seeking cheap attention and sympathy by distorting facts. Did non-Igbos not die during the first and second coups? Do they not count? Concerning the war, a huge number of innocent people that died during that period were non-Igbo minorities from the south/southeast. Similarly, many top Biafran civilian and military personnel were non-Igbos and participated in the struggle until the bitter end (they didn't abandon the people by mounting a cargo plane and heading to the Ivory Coast with their extended family). Need I mention the names of these so-called minority leaders? I should also add that a lot of the non-Igbos that died during the war were murdered by Igbos who used the "sabo" war cry as an excuse to murder innocent victims mainly from present Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States. Perhaps, too, it is worth mentioning the innocent officers that were killed during the first coup by two Igbo murderers--Nzeogwu and Ifeajuna. No, I'm not trivializing the loss of Igbo lives, but it is time you get your facts straight and start presenting a more balanced image of history!!
ReplyDelete@Mike: Your ignorance knows no bounds! You want evidence as if we do not know our families and how many that was slaughtered from each family?
DeleteYou are expect 'Whitemans' certified data' before you can believe it to be true right?
Your slave mentality may never be cured in this life time sorry!
Tomorrow moron like you will also ask for evidence that Maitasima or Boko Haram ever existed or someone else's 'imagination'!
Yes, Igbos alone lost over 3,1Million while over 5,2Million Biafrans was slaughtered at the same time.
Pathetic!
