The February 1919 Pan-African Congress in Paris, convened by
WEB Du Bois and Ida Gibbs Hunt, is the first of five high-profile international
congresses after World War I (1914-1918) that demands the restoration of
African independence from the European World conquest and occupation in continental
Africa/the Caribbean/Americas and enhanced cooperation among African peoples
globally
